#1 All Catholic children between Kindergarten and 8th grade should be enrolled in Religious Education every year - either at St. Francis Catholic School, another Catholic school, or in our Parish Religious Education (PRE) program. Additionally, children who are home schooled must be registered through the PRE program in order to receive their sacraments at the traditional time. 

#2 Preparation for First Communion is a two-year process (1st grade and above), meaning that two consecutive years of PRE is required. The first year is preparation, the second year, they receive the sacrament.

#3 Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process (7th grade and above), meaning that two consecutive years of PRE is required. The first year is preparation, the second year, they receive the sacrament.

#4 If your child has missed receiving his/her Sacrament(s) at the traditional time, we can help! We have classes for older students (including high school) that will prepare them for 1st Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.

Parish Religious Education (PRE) and Sacrament Classes for Students not in a Catholic School 

Our parish offers classes in religious education for public school, non-Catholic private school, or home schooled students in grades 4K through High School.

Sacrament Registration for Students in Catholic Schools

Students who attend St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School or another Catholic school will receive their religious education during the school day as part of the regular curriculum. However, these students must register with the religious education office to receive First Communion and Confirmation during their sacramental years.
